The West Virginia Department of Human Services (DoHS) is working across its bureaus to improve access to and availability of community-based services for children and youths with serious emotional disorders or disturbances (SED) or serious mental illnesses (SMI), as well as all families and youths needing community-based behavioral health services, including Wraparound and Children’s Mobile Crisis Response and Stabilization. To serve these behavioral health workforce needs, DoHS’s Bureau for Behavioral Health (BBH) is partnering with the WV Behavioral Health Workforce and Health Equity Training Center at Marshall University and the University of Maryland Institute for Innovation & Implementation to develop training curricula and related fidelity measures and to provide technical assistance on Wraparound and Mobile Crisis Response for behavioral health professionals.
